The heart symbol, universally recognised as the symbol of love and emotion, has been used in jewellery for hundreds of years. However, heart jewellery became increasingly popular in the Victorian era (1837 - 1901) and has maintained it's popularity ever since. During both the First and Second World Wars servicemen used to send jewellery mementoes to their loved one back home and whilst the jewellery was most commonly known as sweetheart jewellery, heart jewellery, or jewellery with a heart symbol, was commonly used to convey the message of love.

Heart Jewellery includes heart pendants, heart earrings and heart pendants and is often made available as matching sets, although individual pieces can be purchased separately.
